We had the opportunity to attend the ISBA’s Solo and Small Firm Conference in French Lick, IN. It was a welcome break for continuing legal education and fellowship of other statewide solo/small firm attorneys.

Attorney Christopher Buckley won the election for Porter Superior Court 4 in November, 2020. He is currently wrapping up his practice and attending judge’s training. While he is still coming and going, he will no longer be in our firm after December 31, 2020.

Portage Chamber of Commerce Awards banquet
McEuen Law Office was honored with an award from the Portage Chamber of Commerce for Community Improvement for the construction upgrades we have made to our building. We are excited by this award and while we did it all for our clients, it was wonderful to be recognized by our local business community.

The ISBA Annual Meeting was held on September 27-29th, 2017 in Indianapolis, Indiana. We were in attendance to celebrate our friend, Tom Pyrz, on his retirement from the ISBA and also present at a dinner hosted by a tremendous Lexis Nexis territory manager, Brian Beck. As usual the Annual Meeting did not disappoint and it was a great opportunity to see fellow leaders in Indiana law.

We had a fantastic showing for the 3rd Annual ISBA Litigation Section Continuing Legal Education on August 16, 2017. This year was a powerhouse packed with judges from the trial court, Indiana Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Federal court, and the Seventh Circuit Court. This event was sponsored by the Indiana State Bar Association Litigation Section.

Attorney Patrick B. McEuen was invited to be a part of the Indiana Supreme Court’s Civil Justice Initiative Roundtable. This Initiative is a project by the National Center for State Courts and the Conference of Chief Justices to study ways to improve the ways courts handle civil cases. This Roundtable explored the recommendations, whether they might be appropriate for consideration and possible implementation in Indiana courts.

Attorney Patrick McEuen has volunteered his time to be a speaker for the Indiana State Bar Association in the Indiana Kids Election (IKE).
On Nov. 8, students across Indiana will elect their own governor, president and senator in a show of active citizenship through Indiana Kids’ Election (IKE), an award-winning mock election program for students in grades K-12. It is sponsored by the Indiana State Bar Association, Indiana Secretary of State and the Indiana Department of Education.
Patrick spoke at Jackson Elementary School in Valparaiso, Indiana on November, 7, 2016 to a group of 2nd graders about our election process in the United States and why it is so exciting and necessary for all American citizens to be a part of the election process.
